Automatic Garage Door Slowing Down Or Badly Dinged? There's Only One Solution

Automatic garage doors have been very popular in Australia since their invention. Whether it is people trying to escape the heat or simply their fascination with all things automatic, Australians have taken to automatic garage doors like ducks to water. The only problem is that when automatic garage doors get older or start to show signs of wear and tear, you can't fix it on your own. Not only could you do more damage than you fix, but the work could also take weeks during which time your car is either trapped inside or outside. The best way to solve a broken garage door is to call for garage door repairs.

Automatic Garage Door Engine Slowing Down?

If your door is slowing down, shaking a lot when opening and closing or otherwise misbehaving, then it is time to call for garage door repairs. The problem will only get worse as the parts strain in their old age. Often, mechanical problems like this are caused by a single broken part that is stopping the system from functioning smoothly. An old track, a few loose gears or a defective battery are all common causes of poor garage door performance. Don't put up with it and don't ruin an expensive machine on your own trying to fix one part. Call for garage door repairs and get your garage back in working order.

Backed Into Your Garage Door And Now It Has Major Structural Damage?

This is more common than you would think, so you are in good company. A damaged garage door can be fixed in two ways:

  • If the damage is limited to a panel or two, then these can be quite easily replaced at little cost. If the damage is only surface-deep like scratches or dings, then these can be smoothed over very easily as well.
  • If the damage is severe enough that it affects over half the garage door, then it is cheaper and simpler to replace the entire door. You could keep repairing individual panels, but at this point, it's probably not worth it.

How Quickly Can Repairs Be Done?

Garage door repair services are often on-call during the day and can get someone out to you within a few hours or less (if you live in the city). From then on, it is just a matter of parts available to them. For mechanical issues, they will often have all the most common spare parts that are used in garage doors to fix them. The same goes for broken garage doors; they will often keep a few panels and other equipment on them to conceal scratches and dings or replace a section or two. If it is major work or requires a rarer part, then that is when garage door repairs can take a bit more time, but almost all repairs can be done in one or two days maximum.
